About

Urban charter school teacher, turned rural public school teacher. History lover. Mitten state enthusiast. Cat mom. Wife.

When I decided to become a teacher, I did it because I wanted to share my passion for my subject with others. Throughout my first year of teaching that has changed. Teaching is so much more than that. (I knew that already, but for real..teaching is insane.)

I decided it’s time to start a blog (finally) after struggling to decompress all of my thoughts and truly reflect on my first school year, not to mention sparing my friends and family from overly long instagram posts with some type of inspirational picture attached.

I want to give new teachers hope and inspiration that it gets better. It’s tough, oh man is it tough, but it’s worth it.

Here’s to the new teachers, the hopeful teachers, the veteran teachers, and those who try not to cry on their drive home everyday.

Love and hugs,

it all stacks up

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and change the world.
